Still rare, they find their blend of expertise in engineering and pharmaceutical science positions them years ahead of others in rapidly evolving specializations.

The industry is going through changes, the use of healthcare products is growing, and increasing emphasis is being placed on quality, safety, efficiency, and regulatory procedures and processes. Not enough people are presently trained to bridge existing gaps.

This program is very well-known, with personal contacts at very high levels. When you're looking for a job, your qualifications are what will get you in the door. Even in tight markets, you will find many opportunities.

This is a very flexible program with lots of options. You can find your own interests and follow them. In addition to traditional career paths which include the entire spectrum of research, development, and manufacturing, some graduates are pursuing careers in consulting, healthcare product engineering, drug safety, regulatory affairs, patent law, and intellectual property law. Some have entered business school, law school, or medical school.

The unique internship component of the Pharmaceutical Engineering Program can be a steppingstone to a future career, either at the company where you serve your internship or another one. It's almost like an audition.
